The Children’s Cloth of Many Colors project, run by Communities of Peace, for the Global Peace Festival this year.
Gail Paine, who is working with GPF-USA note; “the cloths that are made will be a wonderful representation of American mothers' hearts and children’s purity.”. So it seems fitting for WFWP to invest in such a project.
Here is some more information: 1. Cloth should be received by July 31st2. Attached registration form should be filled out3. The Guidelines have an address where it should be shipped to but we may decide to collect them locally and ship together3. Fredericke will speak with Gwen soon and pass on additional information as I get itIn this announcement, we are attaching a registration form and directions for the project.
Gwenn Bair is the WFWP project coordinator for the Project.
We have the opportunity to help children make a one-yard square to be added to this cloth, which is already one-third of a mile long.
This cloth is meant to be created entirely by children and centers around the theme of a child’s image of peace.
Gwenn will be available from July 5 through July 12 and then again from July 19 on.
Gwenn will call all the chairwomen to talk about the project and confirm who would like to participate.
She will then keep the records and be available for questions.
After July 19, she will follow-up with those participating to make sure that they can send the square, to be received by July 31.
All this will take a lot of effort on Gwenn’s part so we are very grateful for her leadership for this project! Please lend your support towards this and GPF 2008 (don’t forget about the gold banner on our site where you can record your Acts of Service and Kindness!).
